The EFF has posted
a list of CDs from Sony-BMG that have been protected by their deeply flawed DRM scheme: Are You Infected by Sony-BMG’s Rootkit? I wonder if any of the affected artists (Trey Anastasio in particular) would have any comment?
Cory Doctorow is so
outraged by the Sony/BMG EULA that it even prompts him to say good things about Apple’s iTMS! He’s right though – “Does a company that makes you agree to terms like these, a company that infects your computer with malicious software, seem competent to offer a service directly to the public?”

that “Web 2.0” isn’t just about company or product information and things like that: Gimme my data! It’s not surprising and probably shouldn’t annoy me that the company in question – Polar – doesn’t seem to have much of a clue. At the same time, this is a company with huge annual revenues based on global sales and product leadership – is it too much to expect they’d take that seriously?
