of Kate’s montreal city weblog, which has become one of my number-one sources of local news in the past few months that I have been a reader. Congratulations!
Cool tools from Paul Bausch:
The weirdest thing on TV
last night was Bono at the Liberal Party Coro… er, Convention supporting Paul Martin. It’s way too early to know precisely if it has much significance beyond Bono’s star power, but there is a possibility that having a rock-star activist in such a prominent slot in the convention is intended to communicate that Martin isn’t necessarily going to be the conservative many are expecting. Just as likely, though, it was designed as a high-profile placebo. Only time will tell.
More on the RWC 2003:
This morning (EST anyhow), Australia shocked New Zealand in the semi-finals. Australia go through to the finals next weekend against either France or England; the heavily-favoured All Blacks go home, losers again. Does NZ ever have trouble winning big games in the RWC.
Just noticed
that Wired News has a special section about E-voting and the issues that surround innovations in voting methods. A worthwhile read.
