I’m very happy to have found my red toque during recent cleanup and green-bag archiving activities around the house. I wore it to the massive anti-war protests in 2002, which was also the same day Nadia and I bought our wedding bands at Birks, but lost it promptly thereafter.

a great review of The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, the great new Wes Anderson movie. I love the movie even more as time passes since I saw it, and it will definitely be among the few films I buy on DVD when it is released in a few months.
The Globe and Mail
is running a good story by Guy Dixon: How copyright could be killing culture. It’s focused on the documentary film “Eyes on the Prize”, which featured a great deal of archival footage that they only purchased 5-year rights to include. For those who follow “copyfight” related stories there’s likely nothing new in the article, but for people with more of a passing interest, the article is a good summary of the issues at play, and at stake.
