My mind

March 31, 2000 by Michael Boyle

wants to go to a bar and drink beer until the wee hours. My body is insisting that it is ill with a cold.

I think I found

March 19, 2000 by Michael Boyle

an apartment last night – a friend has decided to move. I’m about 95% sure. I just have to go over and see it one more time to be sure. The only problem – no washer and dryer hookups. But it’s about $300 less than I thought I’d have to pay, and it’s in an old, big-boned building not a duplex or triplex like we see a lot of around here.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

March 17, 2000 by Michael Boyle

There’s a ghost who came out this morning – actually she comes out every St. Patrick’s day – just down the street from my office. But I can’t find a site with the story. Thousands of Irish immigrants died in the 1840s-50s in Grosse Ile and in Pointe St. Charles, just over the bridge from where I’m sitting.

Will code for food:

March 1, 2000 by Michael Boyle

OK I’m not much of a designer – hardly at all, in fact. Nor am I much of a coder. But I’m officially coding for food. A friend of mine owns a restaurant (Nantha’s Cuisine, on Duluth at St-Laurent) whose site is terribly out of date, though the design is OK. I’m going to do updates and random work in exchange for dinner for 2 once a month.
