Explorer 5

March 28, 2000 by Michael Boyle

for Mac was finally released the other day. It’s still not as good as Netscape for certain things, but it’s much better in many ways. For me a browser is an aesthetic choice. If it’s jerky at loading images, it’s inferior. Netscape has always been far better at displaying things smoothly.

[after more time] OK – I’m almost totally convinced. All I need to do is learn a bit more about personal stylesheets (can I set one up so that textarea boxes etc. are in mishiwaka 9 pt?) and I’m done with Netscape.
