Caterina has redesigned

her site and it looks great. As well, earlier (very earlier) this morning she pointed to the Fantod Deck, a tarot deck designed by Edward Gorey. I got “The Waltzing Mouse” too though, so I’m not sure if it serves up a random card or just serves up the same one to all visitors each day.

A new weblog has

started in Montreal: thenewforum.ca. M-J Milloy was an excellent feature writer for Hour, and later became news editor and wrote a column called, you guessed it, the New Forum. M-J has moved on from Hour, but his column and much more will continue on his new site. So far it’s great.

What do I have to do

to support the new Weblogs.Com XML-RPC interface? I’m sure some will ask the question, “why should I have to support this system. Shouldn’t it be supporting me?” I’m not asking that question, because for me the give and take on both ends is perfectly fine, I give to it, it gives back to me. But there’s a leap here that many won’t really see the point in making. Will that break a system that, above all, is fundamentally about engaging the network effects that come from being able to join easily?
