to ThinkGeek before, but this PowerSquid Outlet Multiplier – basically a power bar that you can use without wasting outlets on power bricks – got my attention. I wish there were a Canadian ThinkGeek though. Is there?
The art news today
comes from Paris, where a man attacked Marcel Duchamp’s Fountain with a hammer on Wednesday. What some stories – but not all – are neglecting to mention is that the man, a 76-year-old, is himself a performance artist, he’s not simply a disgruntled classicist or anything like that.

Rebecca McKinnon is following
a story in which it seems that Microsoft’s MSN service has taken down Chinese blogger’s site. Note that the suggestion is that MSN has done this, not that the Chinese government is responsible. Definitely a story to continue follow very closely.
Andy Baio has noted in
waxy.org that it looks like Suck.com is gone and may be gone forever. That would be a real shame because, as I have said before, a lot of what’s great about the web can be traced directly back to Suck.com.
Update: It looks like the site is back now – must have been some sort of glitch.
