I’ve been offline for a couple of days, but I’m back in action for the foreseeable future.

this morning (far too early) I sat down across from the magazine rack in the little waiting area. Prominently displayed, with Air Canada stickers identifying their provenance, were several copies of Mother Jones magazine. In striking counterpoint to the other mags – Forbes and Business Week.

There was an outage in the editthispage world so I was down here for the past day. Dave Winer explained that the outage was upstream from their ISP. A slight design issue came into sharp relief – laying out pages with tables (like Scripting News), can prevent the whole page from loading if some of the cell contents are coming from a server that’s down.

We had a little f2f of Montreal-based webloggers. It was fun. passerby, Heather (harrumph! of course), Ed of Ed’s weblog, and Aaron came. I took some pics but I’m such a terrible photographer… I’ll get them up though, perhaps not until Monday. I’m going out of town this weekend – starting today.
