As if we needed

more proof that Netsol is nasty, they’re now planning to auction unpaid domain names. They’re basically blackmailing their own clients. Of course, people should pay on time, for sure. But you don’t hold it over their head, you develop adequate processes to inform and collect from your customers in a timely fashion.

Subhonker Filter is excellent. It takes a while to configure it the first time out, but Dave Sanderson has done a great job updating it. As usual, it works like a charm.

Escaped all the turbulance

from this move yesterday by getting out of town for the night. It was a short trip, but much needed. I awoke this morning to a hard rainfall; the noise of the drops permeated the whole house, which is a really soothing sound. Then I made some eggs, it cleared up, and I drove home. Now that I have somewhere inside to keep it, I’ve brought my bike back from the country house so I can start riding to work in the morning.

Ah, long weekends!

Tomorrow is St. Jean Baptiste day, named after the patron saint of Quebec. This means different things to different people. For some, it’s the Fte Nationale, the National Holiday, with all the attendant celebration. For others, it’s just “that long weekend in June I always forget about”. For still others it’s the Stardust picnic, hosted for the past few years by Blue Rodeo. For me – there’s a patio furniture clearance sale at Wal-Mart, and several used/antique furniture stores to visit, plus I might call up my Official Plant Consultant to help me foliate my new apartment.
