Idea

on a Friday afternoon: get a group of people together and build a small website for Santropol Roulant, including buying an appropriate domain name for them and hosting for a year. the Montreal theme of today’s entries, it turns out that The Old Brewery Mission has a website.

For more than 110 years, the Old Brewery Mission has cared for those suffering the greatest need in the City of Montreal. In times of economic decline and in times of relative prosperity, the Old Brewery Mission has provided safe shelter, nourishing meals and personal contact for those who, for whatever reason, are unable to care for themselves and have nowhere else to go.

If you live in Montreal and are looking for a worthy cause to support, take a look at the Old Brewery.

the opening of Nasdaq Canada, based right here in Montreal. I’ve heard and read a lot about it on the news, but I still can’t quite figure out what it’s going to be. I’m not sure that Nasdaq knows – will it just be a branch plant, a satellite trading floor? Or will it become a spin-off that companies can join like any other stock market?
