Excuse the radio silence,

April 22, 2005 by Michael Boyle

Excuse the radio silence,

but it has been unavoidable. We have been spending a lot of time in Ottawa interviewing for jobs, meeting old friends, and most time-consumingly, buying a house. We finally succeeded – after two other abortive attempts – and we’re moving to the mighty Capital City at the end of June. More details to come.

For those who are interested, this is the new place:

Zeldman:

Tag clouds are the new mullets. “It is of course wrong to compare weighted tag clouds to mullets, mood rings, and similar instances of mindless pop-cultural detritus. Tag clouds are not dumb. Their smartness is why so many have rushed to use them. But ubiquity and repetition quickly turn sweets to ashes.”

Tasty and new:

Duality in yulzine. About: “Yulzine is a collaborative project started by members of yulblog. Montréal is reknowned for it’s double personality; the current project, Duality’s [sic], goal is to put forward this duality. It consists of a theme announced every four days and for which two photographers and two writers will produce a picture or text. The pictures are mixed and the texts presented side by side. The themes are kept simple and total freedom is given to the writers and photographers in the way they will show it.”
