Excuse the radio silence,

April 22, 2005 by Michael Boyle

Excuse the radio silence,

but it has been unavoidable. We have been spending a lot of time in Ottawa interviewing for jobs, meeting old friends, and most time-consumingly, buying a house. We finally succeeded – after two other abortive attempts – and we’re moving to the mighty Capital City at the end of June. More details to come.

For those who are interested, this is the new place:

swank! where? How old? Got a yard for Scooby and Jordy?

Is it just me, or did there used to be a balcony where that door-like window is? As transplanted quebecers you now have to put one up…show some solidarity with the folks back home…

    thanks AJ.

I don’t think it was a balcony but I can’t be sure at this point.

The house is in New Edinburgh, which is a very central old neighbourhood located between the Rideau River and Rockliffe. The place is about 4 blocks from the PM’s residence. I’ll post it if I see him walk over to Rideau Hall to drop an election writ.

There is a great yard for the dogs – the lot is 155′ deep, so even with a garage that gives on the back lane, there’s at least 90’x 22′ for dog running. And an off-leash dog park about a block away along the river.

    We’re super happy.

Congratulations! It looks super, even if it’s WAY too far away! Really, though, we’re very happy for you.
