If you haven’t read it yet,

If you haven’t read it yet,

Sy Hersh’s article about Iraqi prison abuses is online.

I haven’t commented about all of this, because frankly words have escaped me. I do know three things, however.

  1. Any American leader who pleads “isolated incident” is going to be subject to ridicule.
  2. To me, the leadership (military and ‘intelligence’) who say they didn’t know anything about this is as culpable in this as the torturers.
  3. These are war crimes and should be tried as such.

linked to a page with links to several HTML Editor extensions for MovableType yesterday. Anyone know if something like this has been done for BBEdit?

The only question I have

April 30, 2004 by Michael Boyle

The only question I have

with respect to the upcoming Google IPO is how far people who think like this Boston Globe writer will go to prove Brin and Page wrong, to force them to accept “the way things are done” and give up on their ideals. I hope Google has protected itself enough, because if not, I could see an investor trying to gain a position just to humble these guys. That would be a shame, even if their schtick is a little saccharine.

Google files for $2.7 bln IPO with U.S. SEC. It’ll be interesting to see how this goes, and if it has any impact beyond the specific – and quirky – offering.
