Whatever your opinion of the war,

John Robb’s Weblog is an informative read. Robb has military experience and has been commenting both the tactical and strategic aspects of the US efforts in Iraq. “I suspect that the US will pause outside of Baghdad to pull up more forces to support the 3rd Mech. Perhaps as long as 2 months. I am at a loss to explain why the US military planners didn’t anticipate this.”

The Soul of the Web.

There’s a new project called Soul of the Web that has as its aim to shine a light on personal expressions on the WWW. As the group puts it on the site, “Nestled into the corners and other hidden places, the web holds her treasures. Soul of the Web celebrates and introduces all of us to these sites.” It turns out this very site is among their links, which is quite an honour, because the other sites they link to include many favourites of mine.

Top White House anti-terror boss resigns. “Rand Beers would not comment for this article, but he and several sources close to him are emphatic that the resignation was not a protest against an invasion of Iraq. But the same sources, and other current and former intelligence officials, described a broad consensus in the anti-terrorism and intelligence community that an invasion of Iraq would divert critical resources from the war on terror.”
