Breaking news:

September 3, 2004 by Michael Boyle

Breaking news:

Bill Clinton complained of chest pains and on further investigation at a clinic in Westchster has been admitted to hospital for emergency bypass surgery. Reports say it’s a quadruple bypass.

Update: the Washington Post has a story up, not just an alert. As well, here’s a Google News link that should stay up to date.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) President Bush on Friday wished Bill Clinton “best wishes for a swift and speedy recovery.”

“He’s is in our thoughts and prayers,” Bush said at a campaign rally.

Bush’s audience of thousands in West Allis, Wis., booed. Bush did nothing to stop them.

It was heartbreaking to hear this happen to our former President Clinton, a man who uses his life to help many, many people. He does not deserve this. I am relieved to know that former President Clinton is going to have the necessary surgery, and is expected to make a full recovery.

The fact that Bush’s audience booed at the news of former President Clinton being hospitalized comes as no surprise to me. Afterall, this is a selfish, distorted, radical, money oriented crowd that places no value on human life. At one of the Repub. rallys, a man lyed down as they sprinkled $100 bills over him while chanting, “WE LOVE MONEY, WE LOVE WAR.” Given the thousands of soldiers & Iraq families lost in the war, says some Repub. have no value on life. What has this world come to? Just makes your skin crawl to know that there are some Republicans in the world like this.
