The good folks at the Shorenstein Center at the Kennedy School of Government have published a case study about the Trent Lott affair. As many will recall, Senate majority leader Lott resigned following comments he made at Sen Strom Thurmond’s birthday party, comments that initially weren’t widely covered in the press.
