You would want to knit a sweater for a penguin so that it doesn’t preen oil from an oil spill with its beak, cause it would ingest the goo and die. If/when a person cleans off such oil, they also get rid of natural feather oils, so the penguins would get cold. Hence, penguin sweaters.
